Welcome to the 72nd QuarkChain Monthly Report (December 2021). We will post monthly reports including development progress, monthly news, and events at the end of each month. In the future, QuarkChain strives to do better. Let’s review what happened in the past month!

1.1 Updates
- Develop a cross-chain bridge between QuarkChain and other chains;
2) Recent news
2.1 QuarkChain founder and CEO Dr. Zhou published a technical article on the state explosion problem.
The vigorous development of decentralized applications such as DeFi and GameFi has greatly increased the demand for high-performance blockchains with low transaction costs. However, a key challenge in building a high-performance blockchain is the explosion of storage.
With the steady growth of node chain data scale, the current Ethereum node data has reached ~9TB. Since one of the goals of a decentralized blockchain is to allow computers with common configurations to run nodes, it would be difficult to achieve the mandatory requirement of 9TB+ storage on computers with common configurations. This article will analyze how to optimize storage, lower the threshold for running nodes, allow more computers to participate, and ensure the decentralization of the network.

3.1 QuarkChain founder and CEO Dr. Zhou attended the Dapp Learning lecture to share blockchain storage explosion problems and solutions
On December 11th, Beijing time, QuarkChain co-founder and CEO Dr. Zhou was invited to participate in the blockchain technology open learning organization, Dapp Learning. Dr. Zhou gave a lecture and shared his analysis and solution ideas on the blockchain state explosion problem.

3.2 QuarkChain attended DCENTRAL Miami to explore new opportunities in the NFT field
In early December, QuarkChain participated in the NFT conference held in Miami, USA. The conference invited more than 300 speakers, industry celebrities, professional athletes, artists, and the world’s largest cryptocurrency investors to hold talks on five stages. At the meeting, QuarkChain communicated with multiple NFT projects and contacted the leaders of multiple projects regarding potential cooperation intentions.
3.3 QuarkChain held a Holiday event at the end of the year, and participants will receive small QKC rewards
