Welcome to the 39th QuarkChain Bi-weekly Report for the period from Aug 23 to Sep 05. For the past two weeks, we announced plenty of news and attended many events.

Highlights:

2) News

1)QuarkChain PoSW Mining Event

PoSW model precisely helps both token holders and miners to attain their objectives. Once the miners meet the requirement of staking, the benefits of mining on QuarkChain (converting to market price) exceed mining returns from Ethereum under the same level of hash power. The benefit can be 5 times higher than the one on Ethereum. In order to enable more people to join the mining and staking, we have prepared three fabulous tools and one favorable news enabling both miners and holders to gain outsized mining returns. Details.

2) BTC/QKC exchange was listed on Gate.io

BTC/QKC exchange was listed on Gate.io on September 1, 2019 (Beijing Time). To show our gratitude to the supportive QuarkChain users, QuarkChain and Gate.io hosted 2 Million QKC Reward for Trading Competition and Special mining event from September 1 to September 5.

3) Partnerships

QuarkChain and Unicom Innovation Venture Capital Co., Ltd. have established a strategic partnership

Both sides will fully use their advantages of technology, products, assets, and resources to find a blockchain innovation lab and explore the blockchain technology applications in energy security and steel industry areas. The cooperative model of ‘Public Chain Plus VC’ created by QuarkChain and Unicom Innovation VC is a new attempt of blockchain application deployment and it serves as a role model for the combination of blockchain and the traditional fields in the future. 4) Events

8/26 Binance Filipino Local Meet Up, Manila, the Philippines

On August 26, Binance’s first global meetup（the Philippines station) took place in Manila. QuarkChain scientist, Dr. Yaodong Yang was invited to attend the meetup. Professor Yang pointed out that while blockchain has made considerable achievements over the last decade and even attracted the tech giants to enter the space, the technology is still facing a tremendous amount of challenges. 8/29 Korea TV show “All That Coin” broadcast

QuarkChain appeared on Korea TV show ‘All That Coin’ broadcast on the 29th. Jonathan, Head of Korea first introduced QuarkChain, and then compared the differences between QuarkChain and other blockchain projects. He also told about QuarkChain’s future plans both on the technological side and the marketing side.

9/1 QuarkChain Online AMA with Holochain, Matic, and Credits

On September 1, QuarkChain held an online AMA together with Holochain, Matic, credits and some other blockchain projects. QuarkChain CMO Anthurine discussed the future and development of the blockchain industry with representatives from these blockchain projects. She said QuarkChain’s underlying architecture is designed to be flexible enough. The basic idea is that each shard can have its own consensus, VMs, and token economics as needed. If a new consensus algorithm is developed in the future, we will add another shard to be fully compatible with the new consensus, which enables us to keep up with the new updates.

9/4–5 Upbit Developer Conference, Incheon, Korea

From September 4 to 5, Upbit Developer Conference, held by Upbit took place at Incheon, Korea. QuarkChain, as one of the exhibitors, arranged an exhibition booth on site. In addition, Jonathan, the head of Korea, also delivered a keynote speech at the conference. The QuarkChain team had a great time with community members and developers.

Upcoming Event

9/6 2019 Shanghai Blockchain Technological Innovation Summit

This Summit will be held on September 6 in Shanghai. QuarkChain CEO Qi Zhou and CBO Ting Du are invited to participate in the summit. They will give a keynote speech and join the round table discussion. They will share their experiences of blockchain applications and discuss with other experts on how to use blockchain to empower the real economy. Live broadcasts are also expected at the event, and we will share the live link on the day of the event. Details.

CPC Crypto DevCon, Silicon Valley, the USA.

Stanford Faculty Club will hold the 2019 CPC Crypto DevCon. International experts of the distributed systems and cryptography will attend the DevCon and share their ideas. Dr. Qi Zhou, CEO of QuarkChain will attend the DevCon and give a keynote speech. We will announce the date later, please follow the official channel for the update.
