Welcome to the 38th QuarkChain Bi-weekly Report for the period from Aug 09 to Aug 22. For the past two weeks, we announced plenty of news and attended many events.

2) News

QuarkChain Token Swap Progress Summary

After QuarkChain Mainnet’s launch on April 30, 2019, the mainnet token swap has started from July 31. Users can swap their tokens on different exchanges or through QuarkChain official channel. QuarkChain Buyback Program Update

At present, the first phase of the $1 million USD buyback progress has been completed, with a total amount of 70 million QKC. 3) Partnerships

QuarkChain signed MOU with Korea Mobile Game Association and Korea Blockchain Contents Association

QuarkChain has signed MOU with Korea Mobile Game Association and Korea Blockchain Contents Association for the development of the Korean blockchain game industry.

1. Korea Mobile Game Association:

It is an organization composed of 670 related developers, publishers, servers, etc. and is established to enhance the development of the Korean game industry and its competitiveness abroad.

2. Korea Blockchain Contents Association:

It is a non-profit corporation comprised of officials from blockchain contents businesses such as games, education, platforms, and solutions. It is established to promote the development of small and medium-sized content industries by conducting various blockchain contents industries, and to contribute to the development of sound and transparent digital contents industries.

Through this agreement, the three organizations will take the lead in applying blockchain to the content and game industry and work together to create an ecosystem. The collaboration includes not only technical support but also business communication.

8/9 QuarkChain AMA in Binance French Telegram Group

On Aug 9th, QuarkChain had AMA with Binance in Binance French Telegram group. Dr.Zhou introduced critical problems that blockchain industries faced and how QuarkChain solves these problems. 8/19–21 Web3 Summit in Berlin

Dr. Qi Zhou, CEO of QuarkChain, and Junjia He, an engineer of QuarkChain attended this summit. Dr. Qi Zhou gave a presentation about Boson consensus on the Oracle HackerNode Venue. In addition, they are invited to attend two open discussions: “Proof of Staked Work” and “Blockchain Challenge and Future Solutions”. He introduced the blockchain trilemma and how QuarkChain put forward an excellent solution to blockchain trilemma, which was an important contribution to the future development of the industry.

8/20 POW’ER Global BlockChain Developers Conference

August 20st, the two-day “POW’ER Global BlockChain Developers Conference”, held by Huoxing Finance, has concluded successfully in Beijing. On the round table, Ting Du mentioned that the future development of decentralization finance was inclusive finance and it would promote the global assets flow. He also expressed that the blockchain start-ups could have more interactions with the internet giants’ blockchain projects and took part in their construction. In addition, he mentioned that the digital coin that PBoC was about to launch was a new challenge.

Upcoming Event

8/22 Berlin Blockchain Week’s Exclusive Event: Block Party, Berlin, Germany

After the Web3 Summit, together with Longhash, MXC, IOSG, and Oceanex, QuarkChain will hold an exclusive event in Berlin Blockchain Week — “Blockchain Party”, which will provide an easy but efficient way to communicate with blockchain practitioners and engineers from Germany and other countries from Europe about the latest development of blockchain technology.

8/26 Binance Filipino Local Meet Up, Manila, the Philippines

On August 26, Binance’s first global meetup（the Philippines station) will take place in Manila. QuarkChain scientist, Dr. Yaodong Yang is invited to attend the meetup. Professor Yang will introduce multiple functional characteristics of QuarkChain such as high TPS, great flexibility and so on to make users in Southeast Asia have a better understanding of QuarkChain.

8/31 CPC Crypto DevCon, Silicon Valley, the USA.

On August 31, Stanford Faculty Club will hold the 2019 CPC Crypto DevCon. International experts of the distributed systems and cryptography will attend the DevCon and share their ideas. Dr. Qi Zhou, CEO of QuarkChain will attend the DevCon and give a keynote speech.

9/1 QuarkChain Online AMA with Holochain, Matic, and Credits

On September 1, QuarkChain will hold an online AMA together with Holochain, Matic, credits and some other blockchain projects. Representatives from these blockchain projects will gather online and discuss the future and development of blockchain industry.

9/4–5 Upbit Developer Conference, Incheon, Korea

From September 4 to 5, Upbit Developer Conference, held by Upbit will take place at Incheon, Korea. The QuarkChain team will have an offline meetup with community members and developers. In addition, Korea team will have a booth and an exhibitor speech.
